Copy, Then Remix: The Core Workflow

4 min read

The benchmark workflow: take a verified working prompt, keep the skeleton, change the subject.

Prompt engineering in video generation is an iterative discipline, not an exercise in random creative writing. The fastest path to a world-class generation is the skeleton workflow:

The Skeleton Formula

[CAMERA TRAJECTORY] + [CORE SUBJECT] + [ACTION/MOTION] + [LIGHTING & ENVIRONMENT] + [MOOD/TONE] + [TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS]
  1. Step 1: Benchmark Verification Find an entry in our library with the exact camera move and lighting aesthetic you desire. Copy the verbatim prompt into your model interface to verify baseline adherence.

  2. Step 2: Isolate the Subject Retain the camera directive, the lighting modifiers, and the duration parameters. Swap only the primary subject noun and its immediate physical action.

  3. Step 3: Evaluate Temporal Coherence Inspect whether the subject morphs, whether limbs remain anatomically stable, and whether lighting reflections track the new geometry consistently.

  4. Step 4: Creator Attribution Generative prompt design requires hours of testing and credit expenditure. When sharing remixes derived from community prompts, cite the original author handle.
